What We Do

Imagine you lost your job or just did not earn enough to provide for your family. Then Heartland Hope Mission can help. We are more than a pantry providing people in need with a week’s supply of food, clothing and hygiene and household items. Financial classes and referrals to community resources are also available. During every pantry, clients can receive a message of hope and prayer support.

Primarily serving the working poor, our goal is to prevent families from becoming homeless while helping them become self-sufficient. During the holidays, we provide Thanksgiving food assistance and toys for Christmas.

Ultimately, Heartland Hope Mission provides clients with hope of a better tomorrow for themselves and their family.

Through the generous help we receive, people in need can receive:

  • A week’s supply of food
  • Clothing
  • Hygiene items
  • Community resource referrals
  • SNAP (food stamp) application assistance
  • Financial classes

Families in need can visit the pantry once per month. Additional assistance is available to the elderly and disabled. Food pantries typically include: frozen meats, produce, dairy, bread, canned goods, and boxed goods. Clients meet with a client service specialist who can assist with SNAP (food stamp) applications, provide referrals to community resources and financial classes.
